About the Author:

Self-Portrait

Lysse (pronounced Lissy) Stokes has been writing fanfiction for nearly four years, after a long hiatus from writing when she was younger. Her stories are usually long and never get finished immediately as new ideas are constantly bubbling up in the depths of her mind. Most stories are long and involved, with many characters and are more about the way the characters act than the plot itself. Most of her stories take a dark turn for some unexplainable reason, and she's never quite sure how her characters are going to react to the situations she puts them in. For her, it's as much an adventure to write the story as it is to read it. Over time, she hopes to complete at least one story and maybe even get it published.

Lysse thrives on the fine arts, and one day hopes to be an actress on Broadway. In her spare time, she writes whenever possible and sketches fantasy and anime (though she's not really any good at it, she likes to pretend). Her favorite authors incude: Patricia C. Wrede, Tamora Pierce, Caroline Stevermer and Terry Prachett. Her favorite mangas and animes include: Fushigi Yuugi, Ayashi no Ceres, Trigun, Revoultionary Girl Utena, Ronin Warriors and Inu Yasha.

Lysse was first introduced to Sailor Moon and the rest of the anime world in 1998. She was immediately drawn in, and became an instant Moonie, collecting everything Sailor Moon she could get her hands on. Later, her anime horizons broadened, but she still remained faithful to her first show and writes the most fanfiction about it since it is most familiar to her.

She is not sure when the idea for Cosmic Threads came about, but it definately came to fruition after reading Janelle's Sailormoon Millenia Trilogy. She knew that she wanted to write a story set in the Sailormoon universe but without any of the original characters. If Janelle could pull it off so elegantly, then she decided so could she. The charcters were already developed when she began to sketch them out and from that point on, the rest just flowed.

In what little spare time she has, Lysse loves to daydream about life and be happy in general. She is a classic romantic in that way...
